# What You'll Need:
→ Dry Ingredients
01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
→ Wet Ingredients
05 - 1 cup unsalted butter
06 - 2 cups granulated sugar
07 - 4 large eggs
08 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
→ Add-ins
09 - 1 cup chopped walnuts
10 - 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
02 - Place the butter in the baking pan and melt it in the oven. Remove the pan and stir granulated sugar directly into the melted butter until combined.
03 - Add the eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
04 - Sift the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder over the wet mixture in the pan. Gently fold together with a spatula until just combined.
05 - Incorporate the chopped walnuts and optional chocolate chips, mixing until evenly distributed.
06 - Smooth the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
07 - Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges with a few moist crumbs; avoid overbaking to keep brownies fudgy.
08 - Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 12 squares.
